Steele Street Clinic is the only private hospital in Devonport
(apart from the Eye Hospital).

It has a very modern, fully equipped operating theatre where major and minor vascular and general day surgery is performed, under both local and general anaesthetic.

NB: It is not necessary to be in a private health fund to be seen and/or treated at the Steele Street Clinic Private Hospital as non-insured rates are very reasonable.

A Vascular Laboratory is located within the hospital providing arterial and vascular ultrasounds five days per week plus after hours emergency services.

All ultrasounds are fully covered by Medicare and there is no cost to any patient for this service.

ECGs and Echocardiograms are performed for patients referred by their doctors for these services.
